Wayfinder was a dream of Laura Bainbridge’s in 2016 when she graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Horticulture. As part of this degree, a course in Permaculture Design granted her a Permaculture Design Certificate. This course inspired like no other.
In 2019 Laura left Active Duty in the United States Coast Guard for the Reserves and bought a 40-acre homestead with her husband Tom. Tom crafts and woodworks and they both care for their rabbits, poultry flock, and Laura tends their crops, with an Orchard of Apple and Cherry trees to come.
This was a natural evolution – Laura’s Great-Grandmother had a Degree of Flora from the State Grange, her Grandparents were farmers & gardeners, her mother raised her gardening. Knowledge and Instinct of the land working together for Generations.
On the farmstead, one of Laura’s favourite places is the Herb Garden
